Neuilly-sur-Seine (France), 1957. The main subjects of Couturier’s early work were the architectural constructions and reconstructions of buildings located in cities such as Seoul, Moscow, Peking, Paris, Dresden, Rome, Tijuana and Berlin. His eye can be considered heir of the Bechers, as he wishes to develop a documentary record of the society and the city in which we live. However, in recent years, his work has evolved toward issues involving ideas related to processes and construction, as is evidenced by the pictures of automobile factories. He is represented by Laurence Miller Gallery, New York.
