Artista: George Rousse

Paris, (France), 1947. His is very personal work distanced from schools and trends, and pertaining to painting, architecture and photography. At the outset of his career, back in the 70s, he painted figures on the walls of ruinous buildings before they were demolished, figures he was later to substitute for texts and, finally, with geometric shapes and projections, particularly circles and squares. This pictorial intervention is completed with the use of saturated colours and a virtuoso use of drawing. He has exhibited and carried out architectural and photographic interventions all around the world. In Spain, his work has been shown at the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea in Santiago de Compostela, in 2000.
