“All animals live in the same world, but man is expelling, humiliating and destroying the animals of this ideal world”. EXIT #22 – Living with animals, is a photographic homage to the animal world, as animals have not only been loyal companions to us throughout history but an iconic motif in the history of art.  Ostriches, dogs, foxes, elephants, lions, gorillas and many other animals are the protagonists this time around.

The editorial Living with Animals and the tales of Javier Tomeo (Matthew and his Lion, Andrew and his Seals, The Uppity Hen and Mastiffs and Cockroaches, amongst others) are texts that bring this issue together with portfolios from Karen Knorr, Sugimoto, William Wegman, Mireya Masó, Richard Billingham, Roger Ballen, Jochen Lempert and Richard Ross.
