EXIT #71 GARDEN
What is a garden? What place does it occupy in our cities, our homes, our memories? Does it exist per se or is it an emotional construction? We have tried to answer these and other questions through different approaches to the concept of garden.
The garden as a social and meeting space, but also as a sacred place, as an aesthetic topic, or as a source of sensory pleasure. A mixture of architecture, artificial nature, community space, or ethical excuse, the garden occupies different places in life and contemporary art, but there is always an idea that goes through it: the gaze of the beholder, of the one who lives it.
The garden as a fool’s paradise. Rosa Olivares.
